It's pretty simple, actually. It follows a: F# - E - B pattern with moderate muting of the strings F# - 2 4 4 3 2 2 E - 0 2 2 1 0 0 B - 2 2 4 4 4 - And after he sings, "Oh no, no no no" I believe it's B - E. Listen to the song and you will get the basic jist of it. It sounds like a great song to play unplugged. Since I don't have the album I can't really write the lyrics out. Have fun. I've also attempted to determine the bassline, although I don't have the music with me RIGHT now...Here goes, sort of a walking bassline. x = mute G------------------------------------------------------------------------ D---------------------------------2--2--x-x-x--2--2----4--2-------------- A-----------------------------2-4----------------------------5--4--2--2-- E--2--2---x-x-x---2--2----2-4-------------------------------------------- G--------------------------------------------- D--------------------------------------------- A-x-x-x--2--2---4--2-------------------------- E---------------------5--4--2--2--x-x-x--2---- Any comments, questions, or marriage proposals write to Ledig@ee.fit.edu Transcribed by Kevin Ledig --------------- Date: Mon, 11 Dec 95 05:33:32 UT From: "Glenn Denny" Subject: TAB: Cumbersome by 7 Mary 3 Here is the tab for 7-mary-3 "Cumbersome"!!! I know this is right because I saw them play it on TV!!! But I could have made an error while I made the tab. This tab is not in the standard format; I just made a bunch of Figs and then made a table showing the order to play them and also what guitars play them and how long they play them. I also dident mess around with the strums or the dead notes. I just put the cord. Just thought I would try it. Let me know what you think. Let me know if you post it somewhere else, so that I can know how much it spreads. And I just want you to know that I did not copy a single note from anyone, as I have never seen a tab for this song!!! I learned how to play it from watching them on tv. My name and e-mail address are at the bottom of this tab. ======================================== == TABLATURE EXPLANATION == ======================================== ---------- ---------- ----t--- ----5h8--- Hammeron ----(8)--- Ghost ----6--- Tap ---------- ---------- Note -------- ----5p8--- Pulloff ---------- -------- ---------- ---------- -----p-- ----5/8--- Slide Up -----x---- Dead -----7-- Pop ---------- ---------- Note --s----- ----5\8--- Slide Down ---------- --5----- Slap ---------- ||------|| Repeat -------- ----5~~~-- Vibrato ||*----*|| ---5^--- Bend ---------- ||*----*|| -------- ---------- ||------|| -------- ---------- ---------- -------- -4:------- Time ---------- -------- -4:------- Signature ---------- -------- ---------- ---------- -------- Gtr. 1 [Fig. 1] 1 time Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 1] 2 times Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 2] 2 times Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 1] 2 times Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 2] 2 times Gtr. 1 [Fig. 4] Gtr. 2 [Fig. 3] 2 times Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 5] 2 times Gtr. 2 [Fig. 6] 3 times Gtr. 1 [Fig. 4] Gtr. 2 [Fig. 3] 2 times {GTR. 1 READ NOTE} Gtr. 1 and 2 [Fig. 5] just play that until the song is over!!!
