Seeing The Cure live has been a surreal experience for me, following them since the 80's but never getting a chance to see them in concert until now. Even after all these years, The Cure still have the energy to perform a two and a half hour set non-stop. Five thousand of Austin's lucky fans enjoyed the new songs and old favorites at the restored Austin Music Hall, packing the place and overwhelming the air conditioning system. That didn't stop a few from crowd surfing and singing along. While their music sounded as solid as ever, no amount of black eyeliner could hide the toll of time.
