From: Anders Johansson Subject: D100 error rate Reply-To: ajo@algonet.se Date: Sat, 15 Nov 1997 08:32:00 -0800 Hi, Some of you responded to me re error rate display on the D100. I _strongly_ advice you to get the manual - read page 16, 17 and 18. I try to describe it below - but don't blame if if you change the settings of your deck! - Power the unit with the charger - Set the following, 48 kHz,mic limiter, mic in, mic att 0dB and avls norm. - You enter the test mode by pressing STOP, COUNTER and OPEN simultaneously. To leave the test mode - turn off the power. In the test mode you can e.g. change recording currents - beware! - You now have to find the error rate mode - press the mode setter to find test mode #02 - press enter. - The error rates for head A and B are displayed at playback: linear counter mode: A-channel error, A-TIME: B-channel error. Get the manual - at 11.50$ its a bargain! Anders -- Itīs the latest gigg I ever played in my whole life - but what the heck - here we go! 1994 M.S.
