Here's an update to the interface list for the Sony TCD-D3, TCD-D7 and
TCD-D8.

  Sony RK-DA10: 7-pin plug on one end and an RCA coax plug on the other.
  It only works one way -- digital in to your D7.  Around $59.

  Core Sound 7-pin-to-coax cable: 7-pin plug on one end and an RCA coax
  plug on the other.  It only works one way -- digital out from your D7.
  $30.

  Core Sound Coax-to-7-pin cable: RCA coax plug on one end and a 7-pin
  plug on the other.  It only works one way -- digital in to your D7.
  $30.

  Core Sound 7-pin-coax-combi cable: Connects the preceding two cables
  with a RCA-to-RCA adapter.  In pieces it allows input to and output from
  your D7.  Together it allows one D7 to record from another D7 (see
  "TCD-Cable").  $65.

  Core Sound 7-pin-coax-I/O cable: "Y" cable with a 7-pin plug at the base
  and two RCA coax plugs at the other end.  One RCA is output and other is
  input.  $50.

  Hi-Fi Sales & Service makes a cable that has a 7-pin plug on one end
  and two RCA coax plugs on the other: one for input and one for output.
  $150.

  Sony POC-DA12:  7-pin plug on one end and two Toslink fiber optic plugs
  on the other; one is input and the other is output.  Around $70.

  Sony RM-D3K: An AC powered box with a D7 connector on a cable, two RCA
  coax and two Toslink optical jacks on the box itself.  It also includes
  a remote control for the D7.  Around $175.

  Core Sound TCD-Cable: This is a three foot cable with a 7-pin plug on
  each end.  It allows one-way data transfer between any of the Sony
  Portable DAT machines (TCD-D3/D7/D8).  We'd love to make it a daisy
  chain but Sony's SCMS scheme makes this unworkable -- you can get only
  one hop of digital feed from a Sony portable before SCMS stops things
  dead.  $40.

  Core Sound Digital Format Translator (DFT): This cigarette pack-sized
  box has a switch that selects between two inputs: an RCA coax jack and a
  Toslink finber optic jack.  Its two output jacks (RCA and Toslink) are
  active simultaneously.  You can add two options that add one each of a
  7-pin input and output.  $95 in base configuration or $155 with both
  7-pin options.

  Fostex COP-1: A cigarette pack-sized box that is similar to the Core
  Sound DFT but doesn't offer 7-pin options.  Around $95.
